![]() Not quite gone along with your spec - I eschew deleting files, so I mereley didn't rename any targets with duplicated names. This is what the batch file/script did - 1) Names are all "NewName?.jpg" (from 001 and up)Ģ) No duplication of photos under the "Photos" directory and its sub-dirsģ) The "Chosen" directory holds the same amount of photos as before (these were removed from the "Photos" directory)Ĥ) The numbering order of the "NewName" photos is kept in the same order as the "Img" order (although numbering is reset to start from 000)ĥ) I would love to be able to have "PhotosCollectionXX", "NewNameXXX" and "Chosen" to be able to consist of spaces in their real names The batch file/script should change the structure to this - PhotosCollection01\ My current structure is a follows - PhotosCollection01\ I have most of these directories arranged in one/similar way and i would like to convert it to a different structure which will be more convenient for me. I am trying to convert the directory structure of my photos' directories. I would really like help with creating a simple (and easy to "adjust") batch file/script which could help me do what i need to do (described below). When I came back, my other Memory Card (MC A) is already empty, the photos are safe on my computer and, also, converted, resized and already sent to the editorial staff.I'm very bad with batch files/scripts, especially compared to ones who are "fluent" with it :). When the #2 is started I already left with another Memory Card (MC B) to continue shooting the event. Resize photos from #2 at Height=1080 (that is for screen / web) -> save them as compressed JPG in \\Company-Server\Web-Publish Put the Memory Card (MC A) in Card Reader and set-up the Import & Sort to:Ģa. Shoot the photos on the Memory Card (MC A)Ģ. Here is a workflow which can be used and actually IS used at Olympics but using another software:ġ. Definitely, definitely, definitely some are in a huuuge need for this: news/sports photographers. – this would be a killer feature: just fill the Source Folder of Batch Convert dialog with Source of Import & Sort (or with Destination of Import & Sort), and allow the user to set up the parameters at the beginning of the Import & Sort workflow.ĭo you think that we need to apply some process before importing? I think that you can add a checkbox there saying „Delete the destination files after transfer”.Ģ.Ě very, very useful tool is to add „Batch Convert” as a button to execute a batch convert job before transfer on Soruce and/or after transfer on Destination. Besides that, „Copy” can create duplicates. The natural method is „Move” because everyone wants to …well… import (that is move) his photos from the temporary storage (usually a memory card) to the Destination Directory. Import & Sort could be a very sought and powerfull feature by photojournalists / news photographers, however it lacks few things in order to be really usefull for the (by far) most used workflow: downloading the images from a memory card / camera:ġ.Ělmost nobody should use „Copy” as trasfer method.
